BIO

Asa Ember grew up in Manila, Philippines, fascinated by American professional wrestling and the feeling she got watching its combination of competition, athleticism and violence. Determined to someday fight in the United States, Asa taught herself fluent English and immersed herself in American culture long before ever setting foot there.

Asa began wrestling throughout the Philippines before she was eighteen. Eventually, she left home and went wherever someone would give her a fight, competing from Japan and China to Zimbabwe and Santiago, Chile. Every stop added something new to her arsenal. If Asa saw a technique she liked, she studied it until she could make it her own. The result was a devastating style built around lightning-fast kicks, martial arts, aerial attacks and incredible agility.

During those travels, Asa discovered the Women’s Wrestling Alliance and became obsessed with reaching it. Her opportunity finally came when she learned WWA Vice President of Talent Relations Jenna Doll would be attending a Pacific Crown Wrestling event in Singapore to scout its champion, Zynda.

Asa offered the promoter $29,000—virtually her entire life savings—for a non-title match against Zynda.

What was supposed to showcase Zynda became a bloodbath.

With Jenna watching from ringside, Asa overwhelmed the champion, breaking her nose, fracturing her jaw and damaging her orbital bone. Asa never bothered pinning her. Instead, she walked directly to Jenna and explained that she had spent everything she owned for those few minutes because she couldn't afford to be forgotten.

Jenna listened—and left without offering her anything.

Seven days later, Asa's phone rang.

Jenna Doll was calling with a work visa and a WWA contract.

Asa Ember had finally reached America.

Now she intends to prove the $29,000 gamble was only the beginning.
