Emory Vane

Before the WWA came calling, Emory Vane was fighting for a permanent spot in the AWA, one of the largest women’s promotions outside the Women’s Wrestling Alliance. While “Ice Cold” Stephanie Styles ruled as AWA World Champion, Emory was working opening matches, trying to prove she belonged. Eight months later, a string of victories had transformed the unknown rookie into the #1 contender for Styles’ championship.

The match never happened.

Stephanie relinquished the championship after receiving an opportunity to join the WWA, where she would quickly establish herself as one of the promotion’s most dominant competitors. With the AWA title vacant, Emory entered a Fatal Four-Way to crown a new champion. During the match, Vane delivered a devastating Spear to Casey Morris but severely injured her own shoulder in the collision. An expected four-month recovery became a brutal 19 months away from the ring.

When Emory finally returned, the WWA had temporarily closed and Stephanie Styles was back in the AWA—and once again World Champion. History appeared to be repeating itself. Styles headlined while Emory rebuilt herself from the opening matches.
This time, Emory refused to stay there.

Vane rattled off thirteen consecutive victories, with number thirteen earning her another championship opportunity against Stephanie Styles. Years after their first scheduled meeting disappeared, Emory had finally earned another chance to face Ice Cold.

Then came déjà vu.

The WWA announced its October relaunch, and Stephanie was leaving again.

Furious, Emory walked out of the arena believing the WWA had taken away her opportunity for a second time. Waiting outside was WWA Vice President of Talent Scouts Jenna Doll—with a contract in her hand.

“Did you really think we were gonna let Steph have all the fun?”

This time, Stephanie Styles wasn’t escaping Emory Vane.

Emory was coming with her.
