Cassidy Newton

Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Cassidy Newton grew up obsessed with professional wrestling alongside her childhood best friend, Maddy Reed. What began as two girls dreaming about one day stepping inside the ring became reality in 2020 when Cassidy began training and eventually found herself learning under legendary Rock ’n’ Roll Express member Ricky Morton. From the beginning, Cassidy possessed the kind of explosive strength and raw intensity that couldn’t be taught. She developed a reputation throughout the Tennessee and Kentucky independent circuits as a bone-crushing powerhouse capable of changing a match with one devastating burst of offense.

Success, however, didn’t immediately come with championship gold. Cassidy repeatedly found herself within reach of singles titles only to watch them slip away, creating a frustration that ultimately changed the direction of her career. In 2024, she stopped chasing individual glory and officially joined forces with Maddy. When the temporary closure of the WWA delayed their opportunity, the best friends took Angels, Pistols & Attitude elsewhere—and became virtually untouchable.

Over the following 15 months, Cassidy became the explosive engine behind APA’s astonishing 46-0 run through the Iowa Wrestling Association, where the duo captured the IWA World Tag Team Championships and completely overwhelmed the competition. Their dominance eventually brought WWA CEO Chico Fleek to Iowa to see them personally, resulting in exclusive WWA contracts being offered to both women.

Now Cassidy finally arrives on the stage she originally wanted, carrying an undefeated tag team record, a devastating Apex Annihilation, and years of unfinished ambition with her. She isn’t coming to the WWA searching for validation. Alongside the best friend who has been there since the beginning, Cassidy Newton is coming to prove APA’s dominance travels anywhere.
