After watching her first WWA opportunity collapse, Faria Frye refused to let history repeat itself. Now she’s betting Fire & Desire’s future on a brand-new partner—and approximately 45 days to make it work. Frye and former partner Kaiva Frost went 0–4 during their original WWA run in 2024 and became the first team released from the company after just two months. The two rebuilt their careers in Japan, where they eventually captured tag team gold, but negotiations for a WWA return quickly fell apart. Frost wanted more money, arguing that they were no longer the same team WWA fired in 2024. VP of Talent Jenna Doll saw it differently, pointing directly to their winless record before ending negotiations. Frye, however, was given one last opportunity: an open WWA contract and 45 days to find a new partner—or the deal would become void.

Frye's search began before her plane even landed back in the United States. She studied footage, visited independent promotions and searched for someone capable of turning Fire & Desire into what it was supposed to be the first time. One name kept surfacing: Halie Grimm. A young, hard-hitting singles standout who had already captured the KWF Women's Television Championship, Grimm had limited tag team experience—but her footage convinced Frye that she had found her answer. Frye offered her the contract, Grimm accepted, and a completely rebuilt Fire & Desire was born. Since then, the two have been nearly inseparable. They train together, eat together, shop together and spend as much time learning one another outside the ring as they do preparing inside it.

But preparation won't erase the pressure waiting for them when WWA returns. Frye has considerably less room for error this time, because another disastrous start could put Fire & Desire right back on the hot seat. Grimm may have all the talent Frye was searching for, but singles success doesn't automatically create tag team chemistry—and WWA will find out quickly whether 45 days was enough to manufacture it. For Frye, this isn't simply another opportunity. It's a chance to prove that Fire & Desire deserved a second one in the first place. Faria Frye made the gamble. Halie Grimm became the gamble. Now they have to make it work.
